Maurizia is an artist and journalist, always drawn to color and to the forms it creates. She has always sketched, but it was during her travels in Africa and the Middle East as a war correspondent that painting became a necessity. She took up her brushes and began to pour her emotions onto the canvas.

She continued to travel, capturing places in her sketchbooks through drawings and color, creating watercolor travel journals that tell stories of landscapes, people, and sensations. Each journal becomes a narrative to revisit, page after page of vivid color.
