Watercolors
I enjoy combining different media to explore new and vibrant sensations. I mainly work with oil on canvas, which I often mix with touches of acrylic, oil pastel, or colored chalk.
I also deeply love sketching and painting with watercolors. I cannot resist the way color floats on paper, spreading across the surface and illuminating itself through transparency.
For a year, I traveled the same train route for work, sketching the people I encountered during my commute. The train became a world in motion, where different generations and cultures meet, their lives intersecting for the brief span of a journey. Flipping through the sketchbook feels like watching a movie: young nerds glued to their keyboards, a rapper lost in music with his headphones on, workers unwinding, and lovers seizing the moment to be together.
One of the most important Basque cities, famous for the Guggenheim Museum, the Biscay Bridge, pintxos, and the Ribeira Market. Here, it’s captured in an accordion-style notebook that gives it a unique, three-dimensional perspective.
A small village along the Loire, with a grand castle, a single hotel, and a flower-filled riverside. For me, it’s a place close to my heart — it’s my father’s hometown.
The ocean, the tides, the endless beaches, lighthouse trail walks, coastal paths, crabs, and stone houses—falling in love with Brittany is effortless.
